Therapeutic landscape experiences of everyday geographies within the wider community: A scoping review

As community dwelling populations of older people and those living with chronic life limiting conditions continue to grow, the role everyday geographies, particularly based settings activities, in supporting health wellbeing has become a focus both research policy development. The therapeutic landscape scholarship provides holistic view how place promotes wellbeing, recent years expanded its from reputable places healing geographies. Based on scoping review 45 studies landscapes, this paper identifies critically examines settings, mechanisms experiences. It presents critical summaries scales boundaries landscapes; diverse dichotomous characteristics places; benefits proximal distal socio-spatial interactions; activities as sources refuge, anchor resonance finally broader social, cultural, political economic contexts which landscapes are embedded.
